Brussell sprouts Sabzi

INGREDIENTS
Olive oil for frying
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 onion, thinly sliced lengthwise
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp dried fried shallots (optional)
1 small red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
500g of brussel sprouts, stems removed and sliced thinly lengthwise
1/2 can of 3 bean mix. I use black, red kidney and Pinto bean mix, but any beans are ok.
1/2 tsp turmeric 
1 tsp salt
1/2 glass water
1/4 tsp garam masala (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice

METHOD
In a wok, fry the onion in the oil until the onions start to brown. Then add in the garlic, shallots and chill and fry for a further minute or two. Now add the sprouts, the beans, the turmeric and salt and stir to mix everything. Add some water and put a lid on the wok. Stir frequently and add water a little at a time as needed. When the sprouts are cooked through, add the garam masala and the lemon juice. Stir through and it's ready.

Serve with Indian bread such as roti or naan.
