INGREDIENTS
All measurements are estimates.
2 cups water
1 tsp dashi powder
10 cm piece of a medium to large daikon, peeled, halved and sliced into moons.
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
Sprinkle of white pepper
1/2 a leek chopped
1 tsp sesame oil
METHOD
In a saucepan, bring the water to the boil. Add in the dashi and the daikon and simmer for 15 mins. Then add the garlic, soy sauce, salt and pepper and the leeks. Cook for 2 or 3 more mins. Add the sesame oil, stir and serve.
